M. Simmons W. M. Simmons, of Dodson, Rt. 1, celebrated his forty-eighth anniversary as justice of the peace for Ward seven by taking the vows for service in the same capacity for the next four years. He received his commission for his thirteenth term of office April 18, 1944. Another record set by Mr. Simmons was in the line of school teaching, in which profession he remained for forty-four years until he was retired at the end of the 1930-31 school term. Following his first year of teaching in a cabin school called "Mickey Lemmond" at Joyce. Mr. Simmons taught at Mineral Springs, Fellowship, Zion Hill, and Brister.
