George Wallace Name Counsel To Governor Long

George Wallace, native of Winnfield, has been named executive counsel to
Governor Earl K. Long, according to a news report received this week.

Wallace first served as advisor to Governor O. K. Allen When Dick Leche became
governor the office of executive counsel was created and Mr. Wallace was
appointed to the position.  He served the same capacity for Governor Jimmie
Davis.

Prior to becoming advisor to Gov. Huey Long, Mr. Wallace was assistant
district attorney for this district.  He is a brother of Mrs. Cas Moss, Mrs.
W. H. Baker, Mrs. E. E. Kidd, and Mrs. John Mosley.
