Annual Boyett Reunion Held

The annual Boyett Reunion was held on Saturday, September 30, at the Hurricane
Creek Baptist Church.

The meeting was called to order by president Kenneth Williams.  The same
officers were elected to serve another year.  Alpha Brewton and Lucy Stringer
gave a delightful skit about their grandparents Wiley and Mattie Boyett.  This
was enjoyed by all.

Rayford Higgs then gave the history of the Wiley Boyett family.  Everyone was
amazed to find out all about their ancestors.

Then the awards were given to the following: Oldest, Mrs. Zelma Williams,
Goldonna; Farthest, Mrs. Sonja Higgs Moffett, Clark AFB, Philippines;
Youngest, Jonathan Shanks, Haughton, La.  Lunch was served following the
awards.

Those in attendance: Buddy and Evelyn Hay, Hubert Higgs, Sonja Higgs Moffett,
Lucy Stringer, Rhonda Treadway, Sherrie and Carla Hinton, Linda and Mildred
Kadice, Charlotte Chandler, Billy and Mertiel Brewster, Donald, Julie, Judy,
Christy Boyett, Irene Higgs, Zelma Williams, Kyle B. Williams, Marshall,
Coynell, Melanie, and Crystal Hemphill, Stephanie Williams Shanks, and 
Jonathan, Kenneth and Elaine Williams, Gerald Boyett, Liz, Kellie, and Seth
Howell, Herman, Opal, and Jill Boyett, Kayla Boyett Nelson, Rayford, Dorothy,
and Bridgett Higgs, and Alpha Brewton.
