He and his wife, "Aunt Penny", are living with his son, Noble, and his family on the old home place, Calvin, which his father bought years before the Civil War. A huge cake with candles, baked by Mrs. Noble Carter, and another one with "Happy Birthday" on it, baked by Mrs. Jim Carter, were presented to him in honor of the occasion. The following relatives and friends ate birthday dinner with him: Mr. and Mrs. Robert Carter and family, Mr. and Mrs. J. F.
