Lonadier Family Reunion Held In St. Maurice

The descendants of William and Margaret Pittman Lonadier gathered Saturday,
October 8, in St. Maurice, La., at the home of Clifton Lonadier and Laura
Lonadier Farr.  Some 90 descendants and friends were present for the noon meal
and day of visiting.  Among this number were 12 grandchildren of William and
Margaret.  These were Herbert Lonadier, Aubryn Lonadier Grappe, Walter Bryant
and Irene Bryant Horn of Shreveport; Lawrence Lonadier of Bossier City; Alma
Lonadier Cloud of Goldonna; Elmo Lonadier of Pineville; Ruth Bryant Sammons
of Houston, Texas; Madison L. Bryant of Winter Springs, Florida; Laura
Lonadier Farr, Billie Lonadier Trissler, and Clifton Lonadier of St. Maurice.

Also present were Luther Lonadier of Colfax and Shirley Lonadier Tarpley of
Pollock, descendants of Clem Lonadier, a cousin of William.

Of special interest was a photograph from 1890-1900 of Elizabeth Lonadier
McDermott, wife of Joseph McDermott and a first cousin to William.  Elizabeth
was the daughter of Phillip Lonadier and Elizabeth Lee.  The photograph was
made available by Mrs. Ozelia McDermott Carpenter, a granddaughter of
Elizabeth.

The 1989 reunion is to be held at the home of the late Sadie Lonadier and
Marcus Stroud in Wheeling on the second Saturday in October.  Information can
