W. Oliver was the occasion of a reunion of her family who gathered at he home of Mr. and Mrs. C. I. Rowe, with whon the honoree makes her home, and proceeded to a picnic ground near Pacton where they spent the day, Sunday, September 24th. At the noon hour a bountiful lunch was spread, with the birthday cake bearing seventy-four candles occupying the place of honor. After the honoree had blown out the candles, the blessing was asked by her son L. L. Oliver, of Shreveport. The lunch consisted of barbecued veal, chicken, ham, with all kinds of cake, ice cream and many other goodies. All of the children of Mrs. Oliver were present with the exception of one son, D. L. Oliver, of Shreveport, who was unable to attend because of illness. Those attending were: Mr. and Mrs. E. L. Brock and daughter, Louise, Mr. and Mrs. L. L. Oliver and family, Mr. and Mrs. C. O. Oliver and family all of Shreveport, Mr. T. C. Oliver of Haughton, Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Moore and family, of Packton, Mr. and Mrs. W. U. Drewett, Miss Nannie Belle and Harold Drewett, Mr. and Mrs. C. I. Rowe and daughter, Janet, Mr. and Mrs. H. O. Drewett and children, of Winnfield, Mr. and Mrs. W. O. Drewett and sons of West Monroe, Miss Thedos Moore, of Hodge, Mr. and Mrs. W. M. Moore of Packton, close friends of the family were also present. Mrs. Oliver received many useful and lovely gifts.
