Warner celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on July 4th here with their daughter, Miss Zola Warner of Monroe, and grandson, S/Sgt. Arville Boyette of Camp Claiborne, and his wife and two small sons, David and Jimmie. The Warners' other daughter, Mrs. Bertha Boyette, is presently in Santa Ana, Calif., where she has been for the past year. Mr. Warner is a native of Winn Parish and Mrs. Warner, the former Miss Ella Ophelia Hall, is a native of Natchitoches Parish. They were married July 4, 1895 and the Rev. Claude Terral of Natchitoches performed the ceremony. Mr. Warner engaged in farming until about 1916 when he moved to Winnfield. Since that time he was employed as parish game warden in the early days of game conservation, by the Louisiana and Arkansas Railway Company for special work, and during the administration of Governor Huey P. Long was custodian of the capitol building before the present new structure was built.
