Adams Is Champ

Conley Adams of Winnfield won the State AAU light welterweight championship in
New Orleans Sunday and will advance to the National AAU tournament in Utica,
New York March 7.  

Adams, coached by Sherman Roberts, won two Golden Gloves matches Feb. 7-8 in
Lafayette and lost a decision to Teddy Labiche for the lightweight
championship.
