The 1921 Dodson football team played teams from Winnfield, Jonesboro, Dubach
and other places including a Mississippi junior college team they easily
defeated.  W. J. Austin who taught at Winnfield High School for a number of
years was all-state on the 1921 Dodson team and had grid scholarship offers to
LSU, Louisiana College and Louisiana Tech.  Hefley "Hank" Stovall was a start
player at LSU.
