College When Robert Morris Fletcher, son of Mr. and Mrs. R. H. Fletcher, piloted the Wildcats to victory over the Normal Demons in Pineville on Monday afternoon, the spectators witnessed some of the best field generalship that has been seen on the local in years. Robert Morris is the fighting quarterback of the Louisiana College light football squad. To him is due credit for the three victories out of four starts. The student body realizes that Fletcher is one of the most valuable men in the "Orange and Blue" lineup and his name is on the tongue of every student. His running mate, Irving Whitehouse, holds a record of ten extra points by placement kick without an error; this record is partially due to Fletcher's skill in placing the ball when it is passed from the center. Robert Morris came to Louisiana College in the fall of '24 and won the coveted place as quarterback on the strongest 'kitten' team the mid-state school ever produced. The two years of college football has rounded Fletcher into a triple threat man. His yardage gained is equal to any other back in the association and his well directed passes have been equal to as many yards as that of any opponent played. The young man from Winnfield still has one more season to fight for the "Orange and Blue" and if his record next year increases according to the improvement over the previous years, he will be the outstanding star for Louisiana College. Fletcher's scholastic activities have been quite gratifying as he has carried the full quota of subjects and has annexed his hours without mishap. He is a good student and is popular with the instructors as well as the student body. Louisiana College is proud of the "Lightening" quarterback from Winnfield.
