Winnfield Makes Good Showing In Softball At Rally

The Winnfield boys' softball team played at the Northwest rally last Saturday,
being the runner-up for the championship.

In the first game the boys swamped Orange 13 to 2.  Again in the second game
the Tigers showed their power by overwhelming Readhimer 14 to 6.  The third
game was a fast hard hitting contest with Winnfield emerging victorious 20-5. 
However, in the final and championship game, the Tigers' costly errors gave
DeRidder the advantage 5 to 4.

The boys making the trip were Max Crowe, Harding Broussard, Cecil Alderman,
Marlin Conner, Rufus Wilkerson, Clifford Hughes, Kersh Parker, Al Barton,
Robert Lee Dunn, Hollie McDade, Roger Smith, and Billy Flournoy.
