Thomas E. Brewton Named President New York Bank

Thomas E. Brewton was elected President of Cosmos American Corporation at
today's meeting of the Board of Directors, Frederick M. Glass, Chairman,
announced.

Mr. Brewton, who is a graduate of the Harvard Business School, joined Cosmos
American Corporation in January, 1966.  Prior to that time, he had been
Assistant Vice President of First Chicago International Banking Corporation,
the New York International Banking subsidiary of the First National
Bank of Chicago.

Cosmos American Corporation is the New York Commercial Financing
Subsidiary of Cosmos Bank.

A graduate of Winnfield High School and Louisiana State University, Thomas is
the son of Mr. and Mrs. Quinn A. Brewton of Winnfield.
