BOY BABY BURNED TO DEATH
Believed Spark from Fire Ignited Clothing in Which Infant 
    Was Wrapped.

   ALEXANDRIA, La., Dec 14—The infant son of Mr. And Mrs. 
George W. Keese of Lofton, Winn Parish, La., was burned to 
death yesterday at their home, and the body was brought to 
this city today for interment.  The mother wrapped the child 
in a quilt and left him in a chair by the open fireplace in 
her bedroom and went to the kitchen to prepare dinner.  She 
heard the child cry, but did not think anything of it.  When 
she again entered the room it was to find the quilt and 
chair burning and the child dead.  It is supposed that a 
spark from the fire ignited the quilt.
