Negro Held at Shreveport
Special to the News.
   Shreveport, La., Sept. 15—A Negro, who is charged with 
killing Napoleon McBride, nephew of the Sheriff of Jackson 
Parish, at Jonesboro, La. was rushed here tonight by Sheriff 
Payne of Winn Parish, in which he was captured by a farmer, 
to prevent violence.  The killing is said to have resulted 
from a dispute over 20c, when McBride, who worked for a 
lumber company paid off the employees.
