Killed on Wedding Eve
By The Associated Press
   SHREVEPORT, La., Aug. 12—While his fiancée, whom he was 
to marry Thursday, looked on, Walter Myers, 22 was stabbed 
to death at the St. Maurice settlement in Winn Parish, 
according to advices received here.  J. W. Snelling, 51 is 
held at Winnfield charged with murder.  
   Both Myers and Snelling are farmers and reside near St. 
Maurice.  The tragedy occurred at Snelling’s home during a 
dance.
