Louis Womack Wins First Place In Ford Mileage Contest
        Louis Womack of Sikes representing Crain Motor Co., won the grand
prize of $200 offered for the best mileage in the Ford Mileage contest held in
Alexandria Tuesday with a distance of 32.6 miles on one gallon of
gasoline.
        Miss Fannie Jarnagin and Arthur Fredericks represented Winn Motor
Co., from here in the finals.  Miss Jarnagin was eleventh with 27.6 miles
from one gallon of gasoline.  V. L. Tarver the second representative of
Crain Motor Co., of Sikes was sixth in the race with 29 miles.  Both
Miss Jarnagin and Tarver will receive prizes being among the twelve
highest.
        The Ford dealers who held the contest were:  Boyce Motor Company,
Boyce, La.; Colfax Motor Company, Colfax, La.;  Crain Motor Company,
Sikes, La.;  Glenmora Motor Company, Glenmora, La.;  Jena Motor Company,
Jena, La.;  Kellam Motor Company, Alexandria;  McKenzie-Adler Motor
Company, Lecompte, La;  Scott Motor Company, Pollock, La.; Selma Motor
Company, Selma, La.; and Winn Motor Company, Winnfield, La.
