All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** From: February 20, 1958 Winn Parish Enterprise News-American Final Rites For John Dale Abel In Kansas City Funeral services for John Dale Abel, 48, who died Feb. 11, in the University Medical Center, Kansas City, Mo., after a lengthy illness, were held Feb. 17, in St. Joseph, Mo. Born and reared in Winnfield, and a graduate of the local school, he was first employed in the abstract department for the government timber reservation. When he enlisted in the Air Force, he was sent from West Polin, Fla., to St. Joseph, Mo., when they were constructing Rosecrans Air Force Base. Later, after 14 months overseas duty, he returned to St. Joseph, Mo., where he was employed by the St. Joseph Title Guaranty Co., until his death. John Dale is survived by his wife, and daughter, Judy Deanne, of St. Joseph; his father, P. K. Abel of Winnfield; two sisters, Mrs. W. S. Walker of Winnfield and Mrs. L. H. Martin of Amite; a niece,, Beth Abee of New Zion, S. C.
