Mrs. Rose Abrams Buried Friday At Hurricane Grove

Mrs. Rose Maybelle Abrams, 75, who died June 13, 1951 at her home on Center
Street, was buried Friday at 11 a.m. at the Hurricane Grove Cemetery.  She was
the widow of the late Jim Abrams of Sikes.

Mrs. Abrams was born in Winn Parish November 7, 1875, and lived in this parish
all of her life.  She was a member of the Hurricane Grove Baptist Church.

Surviving are two sons, Roy Harper of Winnfield and Troy Harper of Sikes; one
daughter, Mrs. Zella Higdon of Sikes; one sister, Mrs. Jane Boles of
Winnfield; eight grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Floyd Gates, Howard Harper, Grayson Harper, William Gates,
Buddy Higdon, and Melvin Higdon.  Funeral arrangements were under direction of
Southern Funeral Home.
