Winn Native Dies From An Electric Shock

Ardis Milton Adair, 63, native of Winn Parish, died last Thursday in Roanoke,
La., from the result of an electrical shock he received while working on
repairs at his home.

He was jacking up his house, preparing to put in a hew sill, when a small iron
plate on top of the hydraulic jack cut into his electric stove wire, causing
his death.

Mr. Adair's father was a native of Flat Creek-Hebron area in Winn Parish and
was a carpenter in Winnfield when Ardis Milton Adair was born.  The deceased
had worked for Shell Oil Co., for 37 years.
