Mr. Newport Adams Dies In Sikes Home Monday August 11

Amrs. Newport Adams, age 78 years, died at Sikes Monday morning at one
o'clock. Heart trouble was said to be the cause of his death.

Mr. Adams' wife died two years ago. He is survived by a number of sons and
daughters and other relatives. He was a successful farmer and a highly
respected man. Mr. Adams was a member of the Baptist Church.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon and interment was made in the
Sikes Cemetery.
