All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** From: March 20, 1947 Winn Parish Enterprise John Addington Of Goldonna Victim Of Heart Attack John Addington, 44 years old, of Goldonna, dropped dead of a heart attack in a Winnfield restaurant last Saturday, March 15. He had ordered a cup of coffee and when the waitress returned with it Mr. Addington had slid down between the seat and the counter. Dr. John T. Mosley, parish coroner, said the death was due to a heart attack. Born on May 22, 1902, he was reared and educated in Grant Parish. He was affiliated with the Baptist Church. Funeral services were conducted at Sanders Chapel Tuesday, March 18, and burial was in the cemetery there. Officiating were Rev. G. W. Repond, Goldonna; and Rev. C. M. Robinson, Winnfield. Southern Funeral Home was in charge. Surviving are his wife of Goldonna; his mother, Mrs. Cora Addington of Florence, Ariz.; two children, Bobby Dan and Alice Dale, of Goldonna; two brothers, Mike of Arizona and Dillon of California; three sisters, Mrs. W. J. DeRomes, Globe, Ariz., Mrs. J. L. Westfall, Arizona, and Mrs. C. L. Weaver of Calif. Pallbearers were Dyson Gipson, Jack Easley, Vance Terral, A. E. Emanus, George Bedgood, and W. E. Frazier.
