Last Rites For W. D. Addington Held At New Salem

Funeral services for Willie D. Addington, 78, of Montgomery, were held at 2
p.m. Wednesday in New Salem Baptist Church with the Rev. J. Neushwinger
officiating.  Burial was in the church cemetery under direction of Southern
Funeral Home of Winnfield.

Mr. Addington, a retired blacksmith, died Sunday in an Alexandria hospital
after a lengthy illness.

Survivors are his widow; two sons, R. C. Addington of Pineville and Willie D.
Addington, Jr., of Shreveport; four daughters, Mrs. Margaret White of St.
Petersburg, Fla., Mrs. Marie Culp of Montgomery, Mrs. Meldayse Thomas of
Shreveport, Mrs. Derinda Garner of Addis; a brother, L. B. Addington of Forest
Hill; three sisters, Mrs. W. A. Burch and Mrs. F. A. Sutton of
Alexandria, and Mrs. J. N. Sutton of Melder; a foster son, G. W. McKaskle
of Shreveport; 17 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
