W. Adams Of Sikes Succumbs To Illness Sunday Widely Known Citizen Is Victim Of High Blood Pressure N. G. W. Adams of Sikes died at his home there early Sunday morning following an illness of several weeks, during which time he suffered from high blood pressure. The deceased enjoyed a wide reputation for his exemplary life as a citizen. He served for many years as clerk to the Shady Grove Baptist Association and was influential in his church organization. Funeral services were held Monday morning at eleven o'clock at Hurricane Grove where interment was made in the church cemetery. Services were conducted by the Rev. L. D. Emmons. He is survived by his widow and two sons, Leonard and Elvis Adams of Sikes; four brothers, Dr. John Adams of Columbia, Elijah Adams, Henry Adams, and Monroe Adams of Sikes; four sisters, Mrs. Della Simmons, Mrs. Fannie Smith, Mrs. Stella Gates and Mrs. Alma Higdon of Sikes. He was a brother in law to Mrs. Kate Adams of Winnfield.
