Mrs. Susan E. Allen Dies Monday Night

89 Year Old Winn Parish Resident Is Buried At New Hope

Death claimed Mrs. Susan E. Allen, 88 years, 1 month and 22 days of age at the
home of her daughter, Mrs. Felix D. Walker of near Dodson Monday night
following a brief illness.

Funeral services were conducted Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the New Hope
Church with the Rev. Otis Spinks of Lisbon in charge.  Interment was in the
New Hope Cemetery.

A native of Catahoula Parish, Mrs. Allen moved with her family to Bienville
and the in the year 1888 moved to Ward Seven in Winn Parish where she resided
__________. ____________ ber of the Protestant Methodist Church of New Hope. 
Her husband, Alexander Hamilton Allen, died in March, 1921.

Surviving are three sons and three daughters, Mrs. Richard Waller and Mrs. F.
D. Walker of Dodson; Mrs. Bessie Jordan of Pineville; Clayton Allen of
Winnsboro; W. A. Allen of Jonesville, and Archie Allen of Winnfield.

A large number of grandchildren and great grandchildren also survive.
