L. Alexander, 73 years of age, died Thursday, March 16, at the home of his brother, Henry Alexander, in Hodge, La. He was the brother of W. Y. Alexander of Rt. 3, and Mrs. Martha Myrick, of Rt. 1, Winnfield. Funeral services and interment were held Friday at 3:30 p.m. at the Liberty Hill Cemetery in Bienville Parish. Rev. Buckner, of Jonesboro, conducted the rites. For thirty years Mr. Alexander was a resident of Tuttle, Okla., where he was engaged in business. Surviving are his brothers and sisters, who reside in Winn Parish, and Henry Alexander of Hodge; two half sisters, Mrs. Ed Smelley of Liberty Hill and Mrs. Leslie Brown of Jonesboro; one half brother, Packston Alexander of Liberty Hill; two nieces, Mrs. Charlie Ray and Mrs. Dan Page of Winnfield; three nephews, Bascom and Harvey Myrick of Rt. 1, Winnfield and Jim Alexander of Laurel Heights. Attending the funeral from Winnfield were Mr. and Mrs. Dan Page, Mr. and Mrs. W. Y. Alexander, J. B. Alexander and children, Mrs. Martha Myrick, Harvey Myrick, and Mrs. and Mrs. Charlie Ray.
