G. Alexander, 73, of Hodge, former resident of Winn Parish and relative of several local citizens, died at his home in Hodge Thursday, February 14, at 4 a.m. Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Friday at Edmonds Funeral Home chapel in Jonesboro, with the pastor of Hodge Baptist Church officiating. Interment was in the Jonesboro Cemetery. Mr. Alexander, a resident of Jackson Parish for the past 12 years, formerly resided in Winn Parish for approximately 30 years. He was a native of the Liberty Hill Community in Jackson Parish. Surviving are four sons, J. B. Alexander of Winnfield, Cecil and Joe Alexander of Hodge, and Tom Alexander of Minden; two daughters, Mrs. O. J. Hayes and Mrs. Claude Hayes of Minden; three sisters, Mrs. Martha Myrick of Winnfield, Mrs. Leslie Moore of Jonesboro, and Mrs. Ed Smelley of Liberty Hill; and two brothers, W. Y. Alexander of Winnfield and T. H. Alexander of Liberty Hill.
