Former Resident of Winn Parish Dies At Home In Hodge

H. G. Alexander, 73, of Hodge, former resident of Winn Parish and relative of
several local citizens, died at his home in Hodge Thursday, February 14, at 4
a.m.  Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Friday at Edmonds Funeral Home
chapel in Jonesboro, with the pastor of Hodge Baptist Church officiating. 
Interment was in the Jonesboro Cemetery.

Mr. Alexander, a resident of Jackson Parish for the past 12 years, formerly
resided in Winn Parish for approximately 30 years.  He was a native of the
Liberty Hill Community in Jackson Parish.

Surviving are four sons, J. B. Alexander of Winnfield, Cecil and Joe Alexander
of Hodge, and Tom Alexander of Minden; two daughters, Mrs. O. J. Hayes and
Mrs. Claude Hayes of Minden; three sisters, Mrs. Martha Myrick of Winnfield,
Mrs. Leslie Moore of Jonesboro, and Mrs. Ed Smelley of Liberty Hill; and two
brothers, W. Y. Alexander of Winnfield and T. H. Alexander of Liberty Hill.
