Melonea W. Allen

Services for Melonea W. Allen were held at 1 p.m. Saturday in First
Presbyterian Church with Dr. Leland McCullough and the Rev. Robert Gage
officiating.  Burial was in Allen Cemetery, near Winnfield, under direction of
Southern.

Mrs. Allen, 75, of Winnfield died at 6:55 a.m. Thursday, September 28, 1989,
in Lincoln General Hospital, Ruston.

She was a member of First Presbyterian Church and was past state president of
VFW Ladies Auxiliary.

Survivors include one son, Kendall Allen of Winnfield; one daughter, Angel
Allen Martin of Ruston; one sister, Helen Bordelon of Alexandria; and one
grandchild.
