Former Resident Dies Suddenly at Lake Charles Home

Luther Grover Allee, Sr., age 68, former local resident, died last Sunday at
his home in Lake Charles following a heart attack.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Hixson Brothers Funeral Chapel in
Lake Charles followed by burial in the Prien Park Cemetery.  Rev. A. D.
Beckton, pastor of the Westlake Baptist Church, officiated.  

Mr. Allee with his family were residents of Winnfield for more than twenty
years, leaving here to live in Lake Charles about twelve years ago.

Surviving him are his widow, Mrs. Minnie McConathy Allee, one daughter, Mrs.
Harold Snatic, one son, L. G. Allee, Jr., and one granddaughter, Vickie
Marie Snatic all of Lake Charles; one brother, Garnet Allee, Eldon, Missouri. 

Pallbearers were Glenn Guin, Robert Guin, and James Guin of Winnfield, Nathan
Morris, Ottis Morris of Georgetown, Corley Morris of Houma, Gothel Allee of
Jefferson City, Mo., and Ponder McConathy of El Dorado, Ark.
