Funeral Services Sunday For Many Killed In Storm

Funeral services were held Sunday, May 24 for Arthur Allen, 30 year old
Winnfield Negro, who was killed May 18 in the tornado which hit Galveston,
Texas.

The local man was a construction worker, and the tornado lifted the building 
in which he was working off the ground, smashing it onto the sea wall.  He
died of head injuries received when the building collapsed.

Funeral services were held at St. Maurice.  He is survived y his wife and four
children of Winnfield and his mother of Natchitoches Parish.
