Funeral services were held Wednesday at 3 p.m. at Pleasant Hill, conducted by the Rev. Alwin Stokes, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of Winnfield and the Rev. Andrew Foster, pastor of the Pleasant Hill Church. Mrs. Allen was born in Winn Parish August 4, 1876. Her husband, P. Allen (Prindo), preceded her in death more than 25 years ago. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Winnfield. The deceased is survived by four sons, D. C. Allen of Winnfield, Ernest Allen of Many, Julius Allen of Baton Rouge, and Luther Allen of Lecompte; one daughter, Mrs. J. L. Busby, Sikes; three sisters, Mrs. Clima Jordan, Mrs. Martha Frantom, Winnfield, and Mrs. Rhoda Crawford, Campti; one brother, Millard Mercer, Ruby, and 14 grandchildren. Pallbearers were O. K. Allen, W. W. Allen, Harwell Allen, P. Hugh Mercer, A. L. Smith, Sr., and Charlie Jordan.
