Dewey K. Allen Dies Wednesday Morning At Parents' Home

Dewey K. Allen, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Allen, died at the family residence
at Pleasant Hill Wednesday morning.  Mr. Allen was born August 19th, 1897 and
has lived practically all his life in Winn Parish.

August 23rd, 1923 he was married to Miss Ella Teinert of Houston, Texas, who
preceded him in death about three months.  To them were born one son, Dewey
Taylor who is now five years of age.

Funeral services were held Thursday morning at eleven o'clock conducted by the
Rev. J. H. Lewis and interment was made in the family cemetery at Pleasant
Hill.

Surviving relatives are a son, Dewey Victor, parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. C.
Allen, four brothers, M. M. Allen, Ira Allen of Ward 2, Ray Allen of Norwood,
and C. W. Allen of Winnfield, three sisters, Mrs. W. L. Smith, Mrs. G. W.
Taylor, of Ward 2, and Mrs. Mary Belle Cox of Ruston.
