H. Allbritton, 40 years, 3 months, and 7 days, died suddenly at her home near Tullos, Thursday afternoon, April 5, 1934, while at work in the garden. She was found by one of her children. The remains were laid to rest in the Beech Creek Cemetery. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Malten Doughty of Tullos and Rev. Jessie Allbritton of Jena. Mrs. Allbritton was born November 29, 1893 and was before her marriage to Mr. Allbritton in the year 1914, Miss Emma Elena Holmes. To this union eight children were born, seven of whom are now living. Mrs. Allbritton was a consecrated member of the Baptist Church, having united with the Catahoula Baptist Church in 1910. Surviving the deceased are her husband, W. H. Allbritton, and seven children, O. D., Odessa, Otto, W. H., Jr., George, Dorothy Lea, Johnnie William, 13 months old; her mother, Mrs. Mary Holmes, who is 84 years of age and lives at Enterprise, La.; two brothers, Oscar Holmes, Urania; Walter Holmes, Epps; one half brother, John Sills, Crowville; two sisters living and one deceased, Mrs. Mollie Allbritton of Tullos and Mrs. Lorena Pittman, Enterprise; six half sisters, Mrs. Carrie Marrow of Tullos; Mrs. Nealie McVay, Enterprise; Mrs. Sadie Fullerton of Selma; Mrs. Dee Purvie of Zenoria; Mrs. Cora Cassel of Enterprise, and Mrs. Anna Dunn, Columbia.
