L. Allen Is Laid To Rest In Plain Dealing Fri. Mrs. E. L. Allen, 93 years old, of Plain Dealing, mother of Mrs. W. T. Norman, died Thursday, February 19, at the home of her son, G. C. Allen, of Plain Dealing. Mrs. Allen was a native of Plain Dealing where she has lived a long and useful life. Funeral services were held in the Baptist Church of which she was a charter member, having joined seventy-five years ago. Services were conducted last Friday by the Bapltist pastor, Rev. Earnest Scott, assisted by Rev. Miller of the Presbyterian Church and Rev. J. B. Williams of the Methodist Church, where friends and relatives had assembled to pay their last resplects to the aged lady. Surviving Mrs. Allen are six children: G. C. Allen of Texarkana; Mrs. S. H. Cockerham of Shreveport; Mrs. R. E. Lee of Little Rock; and Mrs. W. T. Norman of Winnfield. Also surviving her are twenty-five grandchildren and one hundred great grandchildren.
