Mrs. Jodie Allen Dies; Rites Held At Hargis

Funeral services for Mrs. Ellen Allen of Montgomery were held at 2 p.m. Sunday
in Hargis Baptist Church with Rev. Tom Smith officiating.  Burial was in the
church cemetery.

Mrs. Allen, 82, died at __:45 p.m. Friday, July 4, 1975 in a Winnfield nursing
home.

Survivors include her husband, Jodie Allen of Montgomery; a son, Kermit Allen
of Montgomery; a brother, Everett Lewis of Montgomery; a sister, Mrs.
Frances Brady of Jena; nine grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Joe Allen, Bruce Allen, Arnold Ray Allen, Tommy Allen, Willie
Lewis, and Ronald Ballard.
