James M. Allen, Calvin Citizen, Dies March 19th

James Marion Allen, aged 71 years, died at his home at Calvin Monday, March 19
at 5:40 p.m. following an attack of influenza.

Mr. Allen has been prominent and influential in the Calvin community for many
years.

In 1900 Mr. Allen and Miss Catherine Dembo were married and to this union were
born six children, namely W. D., T. L., Onus, J. L., Archie, and one daughter,
Ruth Izora, all of whom make their home at Calvin.

Mr. Allen united with the Methodist Church in childhood and has lived a loyal,
consistent Christian life.

Funeral services were conducted at the Sanders Chapel Tuesday afternoon at 3
o'clock with Rev. S. M. Neely of Sarepta officiating.  Interment followed in
the Sanders cemetery.
