Last Rites Held For Mrs. Lee Allen At Bethlehem

Funeral services for Mrs. Lee Allen, 56, who died in a Winnfield hospital
after a long illness Sunday, Oct. 16, were held Monday at 2:30 p.m. at Sanders
Chapel near Calvin.  Officiating were Rev. L. H. Hickman, Rev. Jewel Canerday,
and Rev. Sol Carpenter.  Burial was in Sanders Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Raymond Dubois, William Carpenter, Douglas Garrett, Fred
McNeal, R. C. Bartlett, and Ira Wilson.

The deceased was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church and before her
mariage was Miss Mae Carpenter.

Surviving are her husband, Lee Allen; three children, Raymond, Jerry, and Joy,
all of Bethlehem; one sister, Mrs. Ed Barrett (?Barridge?), Bethlehem; five
brothers, Austin, Fred, Sherman, and Wilbur, all of Bethlehem, and her father,
Pete Carpenter, Bethlehem.
