Allen Is Buried Saturday At Eunice, La. Deceased Was Former Resident of Winn Parish Funeral services were held on Saturday, September 21, at Eunice, La., for William Alexander Allen, former resident of Winn Parish. The deceased was a locomotive engineer and was well known in this parish. He was a native of Illinois, moving to Louisiana in 1900, residing in north Louisiana for a number of years. He later moved to Winn Parish, but left this locality in 1926 to settle in Eunice. Services were conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday from the First Baptist Church of Eunice, with Rev. M. E. Williamson, pastor, assisted by Rev. Sam G. Hazelwood, former pastor, officiating. Interment was in the St. Louis Cemetery with the Ardoin Funeral Home of Eunice in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers were: W. H. Kessler, Howard Kessler, Hubert Stagg, L. O. Murrell, Clio Curtis, and Ira Keys. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. W. H. Kessler of Eunice, Mrs. Abe Dean, Calvin, Mrs. A. C. Fletcher, Flat Creek, and one son, J. V. Allen of Henderson, Texas. Among his grandchildren are Mrs. Ira Keys and Mrs. Charles Bundrick, of Winnfield.
