John H. Allen of Sikes Buried Last Saturday

John H. Allen, 73, of Sikes, was buried Saturday, April 26, following his
death Friday at his home.  He died after a long illness.

The funeral was conducted in Sharon Baptist Church by Rev. C. M. Robinson and
Rev. Clyde Parker.  Burial was in Sharon Cemetery under direction of Southern
Funeral Home, Jonesboro.

Mr. Allen was a lifelong native of Winn Parish.  He was a farmer.

Survivors are two daughters, Miss Effie Allen Sikes; and Mrs. D. E. Antley,
Bastrop; one sister of Trout, and several grandchildren and great
grandchildren.
