Winn Native Dies In Auto Accident

Funeral services for Leonard Allen, 46, of Franklin and native of Winn Parish,
were held at 4 p.m. Monday in the Southern Funeral Home Chapel in Winnfield.

The Rev. Douglas Cooper officiated.

Burial was in Sanders Chapel Cemetery, near Calvin.

Mr. Allen was killed Saturday, July 23, in a car accident west of Jeanerette
on Hwy. 182.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Myrtis Allen, Franklin; a son, Phillip Ray
Allen, Franklin; two daughters, Miss Phyllis Joy Allen, Franklin, and Mrs.
Betty Landry, Centerville; a brother, Jerry Allen, Natchitoches; a sister,
Mrs. Joyce Freeman, Purvis, Miss.; and a grandchild.
