Mrs. Maggie Allen Buried At Sanders Chapel Sept. 17

Funeral services for Mrs. Maggie Allen, widow of the late Bill Allen, who died
in a Shreveport hospital Sunday, were held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Sanders
Chapel Church near Calvin.  The Rev. C. F. Martin officiated.  Burial was in
the church cemetery under the direction of Southern Funeral Home.

A native of Ward 8, Mrs. Allen had been residing in Jonesboro.  She fell from
her back porch and injured her hip.  At the time of the accident, Mrs. Allen
was not believed to be seriously injured.

She is survived by two sons, Rufus Allen of Jonesboro and Jody Allen of
Montgomery; 18 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren, and four great, great
grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
