Archie Allen, 22, Dies From Injuries Received While Loading Logs

Archie Allen, 22, died at 7:45 p.m. Friday night of injuries received while
loading logs six miles south of Winnfield.

A log fell on Allen, pinning him, but he did not appear to be seriously
injured.  He was taken to a local clinic and later collapsed into a coma from
which he never recovered.

Funeral services were held at Sanders Chapel at 3 p.m. Friday.  He is survived
by four brothers and a sister.
