Mrs. Virginia Perry Allen Dies At Her Home Tuesday

Mrs. Virginia Perry Allen, age 62 years, 8 months, and 18 days, died at her
home here Tuesday night, April 10th.  Mrs. Allen had been an invalid for many
years and died after a lingering illness.

The deceased is survived by her husband, J. W. Allen, and three children: W.
W. Allen and Mrs. W. P. Martin, Winnfield; and Mrs. B. M. Sharkey of Crossett,
Arkansas.

Funeral services were held this afternoon, 2:00 o'clock at the First Baptist
Church, the Rev. A. H. Cullen officiating.  Interment was in the Winnfield
Cemetery.

Among out of town relatives and friends attending the funeral of Mrs. Allen
were Mr. and Mrs. T. F. Wade, Verda; Charlie Allen, Alexandria; Mrs. J. L.
Peavy, El Dorado, Ark.; Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Durham, Mr. and Mrs. W. P. Perkins,
Shreveport; Mr. and Mrs. B. M. Sharkey, and daughter, Crossett, Ark.; Mrs. E.
S. Martin, Minden; Mr. and Mrs. T. J. Drewett and Miss Mabel Joy Allen,
Mansfield.
