L. Anderson, in Winnfield, with whom she lived. Mrs. Anderson had always enjoyed good health for a person of her age and had only been ill for a short time before her death. Funeral services were held at the Baptist Church Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock, conducted by Rev. Posey, the pastor. Interment was in the Winnfield Cemetery. Mrs. Anderson is survived by two sons and one daughter, B. L. and J. E. Anderson of Winnfield and Mrs. Robert Ozley of Arcadia, who were all present at the time of her death and burial. In Memory of Catherine Elizabeth Timmerman Anderson Catherine Elizabeth Timmerman Anderson was born in Edgefield County, South Carolina, August 28, 1831. She was converted at the age of eleven years and joined a church in Chambers County, Ala. She was married to J. E. Anderson in Coosa County, Alabama, when she was nineteen years of age. There were born to her eight children, four of whom are living. There are sixteen grandchildren living, and three dead, and four great grandchildren all living. She is also survived by one sister, Mrs. D. F. Averette of this city. Mrs. Anderson with her husband came to Louisiana in the winter of 1881 and settled near Arcadia. They moved to Winnfield in 1906. At that time they were making their home with their son, Earnest. While visiting with her husband in Texas in the summer of 1909, her husband died and was buried in that state. Her death came in the afternoon of December 29, 1924, at the home of her son, B. L. Anderson, in Winnfield. Her funeral was conducted at the Baptist Church by the pastor, Rev. L. D. Posey, on the following day and her remains laid to rest in the Winnfield Cemetery. Mrs. Anderson was in every way a faithful wife and devoted mother. Her entire life was noted for its beautiful Christlike spirit. She was a regular attendant at all her church services until only a few months before her death. She was loyal to every cause fostered by her church and a devoted admirer of her pastor. It was her free will offering that became the foundation fund for the beautiful communion set now owned by the church. We commend the life of Mrs. Anderson as one of worthy of emulation of all who desire to live for the Cause of Christ.
