All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** From: July 26, 1972 Winn Parish Enterprise News-American Glen Anderson, Winn Native, Dies Saturday A prominent New Orleans businessman, Glen Anderson, 67, of Black Lake at Campti, died Saturday, July 22, 1972 in the Prompt Succor Nursing Home in Opelousas following a long illness. He was the father of Kent Anderson of Monroe. A native of Winn Parish, Mrs. Anderson was a member of the Baptist Church, a director, vice president, treasurer, and an assistant secretary in the Humble Gas Transmission Co. of New Orleans prior to his retirement in 1965. He was a resident of Monroe for 35 years. Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. in the chapel of LaFond Funeral Home of Opelousas. Burial was in the Bellvue Memorial Gardens in Opelousas. Other survivors include his widow, Mrs. Margie Savage Anderson of Black Lake at Campti; one daughter, Mrs. Sharon Davenport of Arlington, Texas; one son, Kerry Anderson of New Orleans; one sister, Mrs. Letitia Lee of Winnfield; and nine grandchildren. Another son, Glen W. Anderson of Houston, Texas, preceded his father in death by a little more than one week.
