Anderson Of Dodson Succumbs At His Home Funeral services for James Mathew Anderson, 53, who died at his home near Dodson Saturday, February 20, 1943, following a stroke, were held at the Dodson Baptist Church Thursday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock with the Rev. J. W. Buckner of Jonesboro, and Rev. Alwin Stokes of Winnfield, officiating. Interment was in the Transport Cemetery, eight miles north of Dodson. Pallbearers were A. L. Mixon, J. W. Sholars, Judson Campbell, Masquelette Gaar, Clayton Norred, and Mr. Stewart. Born in the Wattsville Community, north of Calvin, Mr. Anderson lived his entire life in Winn Parish. He was married to Miss Martha Terrel of Dodson and they established their home several miles north of Dodson where he engaged in farming. Surviving are his wife; two sons, J. T. Anderson of Detroit, Mich., and Jewell Anderson of Camp Adair, Oregon; three brothers, H. E., of West Monroe, E. R. of El Dorado, Ark., and John of Winnfield; and two sisters, Mrs. W.P. Kelley of Gansville and Mrs. Bryant Sholars of Winnfield.
