C. Anders Held At Dodson Wednesday An illness of two years proved fatal at 3 p.m. Tuesday to W. C. Anders, 66 years of age, retired farmer who moved to Shreveport from Dodson, 10 months ago. Funeral services were held at the family home at Shreveport on Wednesday at 8:15 a.m., after which the remains were carried to Dodson for final rites at 1 p.m. The Rev. R. M. Brown, pastor of the Mangum Memorial Methodist Church officiated at the services in Shreveport while the Rev. G. A. Morgan, pastor of the Winnfield Methodist Church and the Rev. H. B. Hysell of New Orleans conducted the services at the Dodson Methodist Church. Mr. Anders had served as superintendent of the Dodson Methodist Sunday school and as a steward in the church for many years. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Fannie Anders; five daughters, Mrs. C. M. McClain, Tyler, Texas; Mrs. Roy Ussery, Shreveport; Mrs. H. C. McCloy, Winnfield; Mrs. Annie Lee Anders, Shreveport; and Miss Grace Anders, Winnfield; one son William Herman Anders, Shreveport; two sisters, Mrs. L. L. Lee, Dodson, and Mrs. W. S. Anders, Shreveport, and two grandsons, Clarence McClain, Jr. and Billy Anders, Jr. The large number of relatives and friends and the many beautiful floral offerings attested to the esteem in which the deceased was held. Pallbearers were Dr. S. B. McDonald, F. H. Rushing, Willard Kilpatrick, C. F. Walsworth, Clyde Taylor, and Ray Adcock.
