Final Rites For Mrs. Linnie Atwell Held Tuesday

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 2, 1964, for Mrs. Linnie
Atwell, 79, of Jordan Hill Community, who died Monday in a Winnfield hospital.

The rites were held in the Big Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Willie
Broadway and the Rev. Kenneth Wall officiating.  Burial was in the Jordan Hill
Cemetery under the direction of Southern Funeral Home.

Survivors are five sons, Pete Atwell of San Antonio, Texas, Dick Atwell of
Crossett, Ark., Joe, Jr., Woodrow, and Allen Atwell of Gasden, Ala.; three
daughters, Mrs. Maudie Bennett of Sulphur, La., Mrs. Pearlie Branch of
Winnfield, and Mrs. Helen Clemmen of Gasden, Ala.; four brothers, Lawrence,
Joe, Lonnie, and Irvin Jordan of the Jordan Hill Community; three sisters,
Mrs. Rena Maxey and Mrs. Florence Rossier of the Jordan Hill Community, Miss
Julie Jordan of Springhill; 14 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
