W. Austin Funeral Services Held From Presbyterian Church Thursday Morning Mrs. Beulah Blanche Austin, 54 years, 11 months and 19 days, died at her home here Tuesday afternoon at about 5:30 o'clock from a stroke of apoplexy. Although suffering some time from high blood pressure, Mrs. Austin seemed to be in apparently good health. She fell unconscious at her home at about 4:30 Tuesday afternoon and never regained consciousness. In her fall she struck a stove, which ignited her clothing, causing some injury to her hip. Funeral services were held from the First Presbyterian Church, Thursday morning at 10:00 o'clock, the pastor, Rev. Alwin Stokes, in charge. Interment was in the Winnfield Cemetery. The beautiful floral offering attested the esteem in which the deceased was held. Pallbearers were L. H. Smith, J. L. Corley, Bill Holstead, J. I. Waller, J. T. Steen, and D. H. Williams. The deceased was born in Atlanta, Georgia, January 25, 1877. She was reared in that city and was married to W. W. Austin, to which union three children were born. Two daughters survive, with the husband. They are Mrs. Ovey Trahan, of this city, and Mrs. C. J. Hastings, of Kansas City, recently from Winnfield, the husband, W. W. Austin, Winnfield; and one brother, I. N. Haynes, of Nashville, Tenn. Mr. and Mrs. Austin resided in Hope, Arkansas eight years before coming to Winnfield where they have made their home since 1914. Mrs. Austin was a faithful member of the local Presbyterian Church, having been a member of the Presbyterian Church since early youth. She was active in the work of the local church.
