2 Year Old Child Kicked By Horse Dies Of Injuries

Accident of Two Months Ago Proves Fatal To Youngster

Little James Avant, two year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Avant of the
Wheeling community died in a Shreveport hospital as a result of injuries
sustained eight weeks ago when he was kicked by a horse.  The little fellow's
skull was crushed.

The remains were brought to the family home at Wheeling and funeral services
were conducted by Rev. O. L. Hughes of Winnfield, after which interment was
made in the old Tate Cemetery.

Surviving are the parents, six brothers and sisters, and the grandparents,
Mrs. John Avant and Mrs. Ellen Brady.
