Ava Meredith Boyett

Ava Meredith Boyett, 83, of Olla, died Monday, December 28, 1998, at her
residence following an extended illness.

She was born on March 4, 1915, in Winn Parish to the union of Richard
Slimmons and Lillie Mae Hodges Meredith. She was a member of Pine Hill
Baptist Church of Urania, and a homemaker.

Services were held at 10 a.m. today (Wednesday) Dec. 30, at the chapel of
Riser Funeral Home in Olla with Rev. Denver McBroom officiating.

Interment will follow in the Beech Creek Cemetery near Olla under direction
of Riser Funeral Home of Olla.

Survivors include two sons, James Boyett and Jerry Boyett, both of Fortuna,
Calif.; one daughter, Janice Wilson of Urania; one brother, Cecil Meredith
of Olla; one sister, Vaudie Kelly of Olla; six grandchildren and nine
great-grandchildren.
